    More than 67 billion riyals, Saudi exports to India
     
      
    200 Indian companies operating in the Saudi market with total investments of more than 4 billion

     
     


    After the recent visit of the  Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh to the Kingdom ; a beginning of a new era of strategic partnership between the two countries.
     
     That was during the meeting on Monday January 17, 2011 with a delegation of Indian trade in the presence of the  Acting Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and a number of Board members and businessmen in the main Chamber in Dammam.
     
    Al Quraishi  who said that the movement of trade exchange between the two countries have made giant jump recently, referring to the recent visits of Indian businessmen to the Kingdom ,also said that these commercial &promotional activities paid dividends with the average annual trade volume in the two directions of more than 80 billion riyals, according to the latest statistics of the Kingdom.
     
    He pointed to the significant increase in investments by Indian companies in the kingdom, where said that more than 200 Indian companies operating in the Saudi market with a total investment exceeding 4 billion riyals.
     
    For his part, said the President of the Indian delegation and Chairman of the Islamic Indian Muslim-Khaleej Chamber of Commerce Iqbal Zafar that  Indian manufacturers specialized in textile, leather, pharmaceutical products are keen to enter the Saudi market .
     
    He commended on the role of the General Authority for Investment in the Kingdom to attract foreign investments to the Kingdom as suggested by the opening of a branch of the Authority in India contributes to facilitate the Indian investments in the Kingdom.
